- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
