How to find the best Hilton Head vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Hilton Head. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best rental in Hilton Head:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Villa with Shared Pool, Hot Tub, Ocean Views, and More - Beach Nearby has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Hilton Head beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
