Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Hilton Head area. Booking your Hilton Head vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking yourrental:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Fifth Floor Villamare unit with lots of updates! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
