About this Property

  • Sleeps 11
  • 5 Bedrooms

  • Private vacation home

Look no further!! We offer it all- beach and canal!! This home is really the best location on the island and accepts painless access to all the island's activities! We are a canal-front home with a private dock, across the street from the beach, next to the tennis and pickle ball courts, across the street from olympic pool, adult pool, eateries and shopping! We are less than 100 yards from beach access 16 - which has sand regardless of the tide! (This is an amazing additional considering some beachfront homes don't have any beach during high tide or have a humongous hike to actually get to the water!) We are also INCLUDING 2 Amenity cards with rental! Ideal home!

Once you visit our home you will want to return! This home has generations of appreciate and laughter. It has an open floor plan so you can talk to the chef while sitting on the back porch overlooking the marsh! Downstairs you can follow a family tradition and have an oyster roast in the fire pit!

ADVENTURE/ACTIVITIES: If you feel the need to venture further, you can go to two different incredible golf courses, a marina, five different eateries, multiple pools, and a exercise center!
You can also discover the island on peaceful roads and broad bicycle trails. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen including alligators, pelicans, osprey, dolphins, crabs, and a lot of deer! There are also many great shells to be found on the beach. It is like your own little mini zoo!

If you wish to get intimately involved with wildlife, you can bring home dinner by going crabbing and fishing off our dock. You can also bring your boat and launch it at the marina or another close public launch.

Fripp also offers Camp Fripp, a kids's recreation center where the kids can discover the island while mom and dad golf, play tennis, or just sit by the pool. There are organized activities for the older kids as well.

ISLAND FACTS: Fripp Island is a pristine 3000-acre private, gated island 19 miles outside of Beaufort, South Carolina. The island has three and a half miles of handsome beaches. Several movies have been filmed on the island including Forrest Gump, Jungle Book, and The Prince of Tides. The authors Pat Conroy and Cassandra King chose to call the island home for a brief while.

HOME INFO: This four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has an outdoor covered porch and an enclosed sunroom. There is a king in one room upstairs and a queen in the other room. Downstairs, one room has a queen and a twin and the other has a queen. The pull-out queen is in the sunroom which has a door to shut it off from the rest of the home. ALL OF THE ROOMS HAVE A TV!!! There is a phenomenal view of the canal with a private dock. Downstairs there is a screen porch with an enclosed charcoal grille, a ping pong table, and of course a washer and dryer. The kitchen has all of the essentials and then some. You will surely want to appreciate it!

The home was originally intended to be a fishing camp. The downstairs was going to be for all my Grandpa's rowdy friends. The upstairs was supposed to be for the more refined guests! That being said - YOU HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE TO GO FROM THE UPSTAIRS ROOMS TO THE DOWNSTAIRS ROOMS. Some people find this striking. Some find it bewildering. I like to escape downstairs!

The cost of this rental INCLUDES the resort fee and 2 luxury cards!! That is a giant savings to you! If you wish to purchase additional cards the prices are listed below. They are purchased through the owner.

$55/card: Memorial Day - Labor Day for 4-7 days
$39/card: Memorial Day - Labor Day for for 1-4 days

Tricks and tips to get the very best Hilton Head vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to select the best rental in Fripp Island:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Canal Front, Private Dock, Steps to BEACH, Pool, Food! Resort Access included! has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a particular Hilton Head destination you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
