Strategies for getting the perfect Hilton Head rental experience:
When to reserve a Hilton Head rental & When to go:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and choose yourvacation home:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Spacious, Renovated House with Private Spa and Private Pool has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Hilton Head beach you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
