Booking the best vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:

  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Hilton Head restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Hilton Head area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Planning and picking yourrental:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Penthouse Condo with Yacht Views! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Hilton Head destination you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
