The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furnishings, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Located near the beach, this condo is in South End, a neighborhood in Hilton Head Island. The Sandbox and Legendary Golf are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Coligny Plaza and The Village at Wexford. How to get the best rental home value:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hilton Head area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
• Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
• Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

• Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
• Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
