Finding the best Hilton Head rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer months are high season in Hilton Head. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 7825 Cente Court is a lovely villa with lagoon views in Palmetto Dunes. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
