When to go & When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home:

• The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
• Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses.
