Getting the best Hilton Head rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront condo with pools, hot tubs, WiFi, washer\/dryer, & central A\/C has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
