(This property has a pool and spa that can be heated between Labor Day and Memorial Day for an additional fee of $95/nighttime. Both the spa and pool share the same heater. In order for the spa to be heated, the pool must be heated as well. When isolating the spa to heat to a higher temperature the pool will not be heating. It is important to turn off the spa when finished. At least seven days' notice must be given for heat to be turned on. If the outside temperature is colder than 55 degrees, the pool may not be able to maintain a warmer temperature. If the pool or spa does not reach your desired temperature but is still warming, refunds will not be given.)

This four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath golf home offers ideal comfort for your vacation. Eagle Watch makes calming painless thanks to its private pool, jetted tub, recreation room, outdoor grille, and accessibility to outdoor activities. Your pet can stay here with a modest nightly fee.

In addition to the property being located in the Shipyard Plantation right on the Galleon Golf Course, it's also just a short walk or bicycle ride to a gorgeous beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Bicycle units are available in the area, so hop on and hit the trails of Shipyard Plantation.

Inside this golf home, you'll find a cavernous rec room that offers a wet bar, generous seating, a TV, Ping-Pong, and a dartboard. A entirely equipped kitchen lets you whip up delicious home-cooked meals. The outdoor space is made for entertaining and enjoyment with access to a kidney-shaped pool, grille, screened porch, a patio space, and a sizable deck. Strategies to get the optimal Hilton Head rental home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Dog-friendly gem with pool, game room & golf course views - walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hilton Head rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Hilton Head attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
