• To get the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Hilton Head attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
• In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
• Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
• Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
