Tips to get the perfect Hilton Head vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Hilton Head attractions.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose a perfectvacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on trip dates and a spending budget.

- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.

Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective.
