Captain Buddy’s Crabbing/Sharking

Spend the day with Captain Buddy’s Crabbing and and Sharking to get hooked on crabbing and sharking on Hilton Head Island! Your guide for the day is either Captain Jay or Captain Buddy, so you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience. 

In the spring, we will be pulling crab pots for blue crab and stone crab.  We teach all about the animals we encounter in the pots. 

Summer time, we will get way shallow and drop baits off the side.  After a few minutes, we can feel the crabs tugging on the lines. Then we pull them in slowly while another person is ready with the net. 

We provide one FREE CRAB BUCKET to take your catch home with you.

On a Crabbing/Sharking combo, we can cater your trip however youd like.  If any of the good eating sharks are caught, our crew will clean your catch for FREE and an AMAZING shark taco recipe will be provided as well!

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome and encouraged!  We love to teach the mids all about the wildlife they enounter during the trip.  And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 22’ Carolina Skiff center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, crabbing lines and tackle are ready for you.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Don’t leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
