There’s a fish with your name on it in Hilton Head Island and Sara Mads Sport Fishing will help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Michael, offering years of sportfishing experience.
These waters are known for Wahoo, Cobia, Redfish, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Flounder, Black Seabass, Black Grouper, Blackfin Tuna, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Mike can also have you Flounder gigging.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Your excursion begins aboard a 40’ Wellcraft 330 Coastal sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Michael has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
