If you’re here to make the most of fishing on Hilton Head Island, look no further than Black & Blue Fishing Charters. Captain Stratton will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of professional experience. He is a 3rd generation captain and loves his job!
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Blacktip Shark, Lemon Shark, King Mackerel, Tarpon, Great Barracuda, Cobia, Black Seabass, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Sheepshead, Gray Triggerfish, and plenty more.
You’ll target your catch by fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish you catch are yours to take with you, provided they’re within size and bag limits. Capt. Stratton can even clean your catch for you. How’s that for fresh seafood?
Your trip begins aboard a 30’ Blackfin with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it beforehand so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Tipping the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day is customary to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, which means all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Black & Blue Fishing Charters HHI is just a click away.
