Tips to get the perfect Hilton Head rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- In the Hilton Head area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hilton Head area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Hilton Head area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book a perfect Hilton Head rental home:
- First, have your family select trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Welcome to Eleventh Heaven! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
