Strategies for getting the best Hilton Head rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in Hilton Head. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hilton Head attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing yourrental home:
- To start, have your group select vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Stunning Hilton Head Island Vacation Rental! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a specific Hilton Head beach you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
