During this time, the pool and spa will be temporary closed, however, access to the SeaCrest oceanfront pool will still be available to guests.

Tricks and tips to get the best Hilton Head rental home experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Hilton Head area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Hilton Head vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. 2 Bed\/2 Bath Villa North Shore Place Near Coligny Beach, Rooftop Pool and Spa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
