When it comes to dining, you have multiple options. There are many eateries within walking distance and even more just a fast drive away. If you decide to stay in, the kitchen is entirely equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you could need. whether you're scrambling eggs for breakfast, cooking a fancy dinner or making popcorn to snack on while watching your favorite shows on the living area's flat-screen TV.
Full access to your own washer and dryer makes life a breeze while on vacation.

Hilton Head is known for its golf courses and equally close is Sea Pines Forest Preserve, home to the 4,000-year-old Sea Pines Shell Ring. Dolphin- and whale-watching tours are a great way to observe local sea life; for birdwatching and the chance to see turtles and even alligators, discover Pinckney Island National Wildlife Preserve. Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserve your Hilton Head rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Ocean walk with Indoor Pool: 2blocks 2beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
