Tips for getting the best Hilton Head vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Summer months are high season in Hilton Head. Book your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Hilton Head area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hilton Head area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
