Appreciate golf? Appreciate the beach? Adore tennis? Then Sea Pines Sanctuary is the ideal getaway for you and your family and friends. Located in an ideal location in the photogenic Sea Pines Plantation, this completely updated, calming, 2,773-square-foot, single-level vacation home overlooks the seventh green of the newly remodeled, world-class Atlantic Dunes Golf Course. It even has a game room with a game system!

The full-service, stately Sea Pines Beach Club is less than a mile away, giving you the choice of walking or cycling down the spectacular bicycle path that wanders through the majestic oak trees and palms adjacent to the ninth fairway of Atlantic Dunes or driving and parking at the beach club. The world-class golf clubhouse, restaurant, and practice facilities for the Atlantic Dunes and Heron Pointe Golf Courses are a short walk away between the home and the beach club. One of our favorite places in Sea Pines is Harbour Town, which is only a mile and a half from the home. Harbour Town features a PGA Tour golf course, top-notch tennis facilities, stores, eateries, live entertainment, and the world-famed yacht basin and lighthouse. The South Beach Marina is just over three miles from the home. It features a pool, additional tennis courts, and eateries, stores, and a relaxing outdoor bar overlooking the water. Equestrians will be overjoyed to learn that Lawton Stables is less than a mile north of the home.

Imagine appreciating all of this with your family and friends amid gorgeous live oak trees and hanging Spanish moss overlooking a ideally manicured golf course from the screened porch on the back of the home. Willow Oak Road is one of the original streets and certainly one of the quietest in Sea Pines despite its ideal, central location.

Rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the perfect rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Dog-friendly, upgraded home with golf course view, pool & spa -near beach club has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Hilton Head destination you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
