When to reserve a Hilton Head rental home & When to go:
- To find the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Hilton Head area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself.
