The kitchen is over-the-top impressive with its completely bespoke cabinetry, GE stainless steel appliances and leathered quartzite countertops. Unique to this villa, one whole section of kitchen wall was removed and thus made the kitchen completely open with bar seating. The dining area seats eight comfortably, in addition to the kitchen bar seating which hosts room for four. The living area is smartly designed with the beach in mind featuring a beach modern theme, HDTV and slider access to your private deck overlooking the lagoon system. Adjacent to the kitchen is the full-size laundry room and a modest office which doubles as a half bedroom with daybed. Completing the first floor is a guest bedroom with two Queen beds, HDTV and guest bathroom. This guest bathroom has a granite vanity and tiled tub and shower combination. Heading upstairs you'll discover the remaining two bedrooms. On the right is another guest bedroom with two Queen beds, HDTV and an en-suite guest bathroom. This guest bathroom is elegant with its granite vanity and walk-in shower. Straight ahead from the top of the stairs is the sizable Primary suite with king bed, HDTV and en-suite Primary bath. The Primary bathroom features granite double vanity and a tiled walk-in shower. Outside on your private deck is a propane grille along with a dining table for appreciating your meal while viewing the Palmetto Dunes 11-mile lagoon system! The beach is comfortably accessed with a 15 min. walk or by calling the Palmetto Dunes Buggy, which is a complimentary on-call shuttle service which runs seasonally. Tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Hilton Head area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautifully Updated Three Bedroom Villa on the 11-Mile Lagoon! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
Advice for a great stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
