When to visit Hilton Head & When to book:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance.   • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
