Booking the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your Hilton Head rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 2516 Windsor Place II- Renovated for 2024 Rental Season!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Hilton Head attraction you simply love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
