Finding the best Hilton Head vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your Hilton Head vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hilton Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hilton Head area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting and booking your prefect Hilton Head rental home:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 5th floor condo with spectacular Ocean views! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
