Palmetto Guide Services LLC is a USCG licensed and insured guide service on Clarks Hill Lake (Lake Thurmond), Lake Murray, and Lake Wateree. If you’re a beginner, this is a perfect chance to take the rod and start using it like a pro.

The trip takes place on a 25’ SeaPro boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This center console was built in 2019 and has the latest navigational electronics and she’s powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine. You’ll also find a cooler, a live bait tank, and a wireless trolling motor on the boat.

You’ll go after Catfish, Striped Bass, or Hybrid Bass using different approaches. For Catfish, you’ll anchor down and fish cut bait on the bottom or drift fish, depending on the time of year. For Bass, you’ll use rods with live bait and pull planer boards. You get to keep the catch, so it’s best to bring a cooler if you’re planning to keep the fish for later.

Capt. Josh covers your fishing equipment and bottled water. Feel free to bring other drinks with you and prepare some food. You’ll need to purchase your fishing license before the trip.
