Strategies to get the best Hilton Head rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Hilton Head area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in Hilton Head. Reserve your Hilton Head vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Hilton Head visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 35 Crabline Ct, Pool, Seasonal Beach Shuttle, Close to Beach, Free Golf has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Hilton Head attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
